Home - Our Services

We, at Shri Adinath dental clinic, offer you the best crown treatment for your teeth and at the most affordable prices.

The crown, also called a cover or a cap, provided by us is a hollow, artificial tooth used to cover a discolored or damaged tooth so that it restores its normal shape and size.

Our crown can make your teeth stronger and protect them from further damage. Also, it can improve the way your teeth look. A tooth that has been fixed with our crown looks and works very much like a natural tooth.

When is it needed?

  • If you have had a Root canal treatment, our crown will protect the restored tooth. We recommend a crown to protect a weak tooth from fracturing.
  • It may help you to cover a discolored or badly shaped tooth and improve your smile. In addition, the dental crown gives your tooth the strength, shape, size and help to improve the appearance of your teeth.
  • It may help to hold a bridge or denture firmly in place.
  • It protects other adjacent teeth from damage and further wear and tear.

What we do?

Fe assure you the entire crown treatment at one place only and you no longer need to visit different dentists or laboratories for various services. We are well equipped with all kinds of instruments and crown preparation materials.

Treatment process we follow

  • Before a crown can be made, the tooth must be reduced in size so that the crown will fit over it properly. Initially, we give you a local anesthetic, and file down the tooth that needs to be restored.
  • After reducing the tooth, we will take an impression of the filed-down tooth and nearby teeth to provide an exact mold(shape) for your final crown.
  • Also, we determine the correct shade for the crown to match the color of your existing teeth. The crown is built using restorative material (material used for fillings) based on the impression. The final crown will be of the right shape, size and color for your mouth.
  • A temporary crown will be put in place to cover the prepared tooth while the permanent crown is being prepared. It is made from an impression of your teeth and it protects your tooth until the final crown is ready.
  • When the permanent crown is ready, the temporary crown is removed, and we check to ensure that the crown is the right fit, shape, colour and bite. If it is, the new crown is cemented into place.

Different types of crowns we offer

Crowns are made from various types of materials. Depending
on which tooth needs a crown, we suggest a material, or combination of materials, that is right for you.

Metal crowns

They are made up of gold. They generally last a long time and won't break. However, gold color does not look natural Because of this, they are usually placed on back teeth.

Composite crowns

They look quite natural. They won't break but brushing may remove their polishing.

Ceramic (Porcelain) crowns

They look the most natural. They are more brittle(softer) than metal or composite ones. They are usually placed on the front teeth.

Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns

They look natural and are stronger than porcelain or composite crowns. They won't break as easily as porcelain or ceramic crowns.

Ask Question

  • Brush your crown, just like you clean your natural teeth and maintain good oral hygiene.
  • Do not bite on hard objects or use your teeth to open or cut things.
  • Do not bite your nails or chew pencils.
  • Do not chew ice or hard candy.
  • Do not eat sticky food.
  • Do not consume too hot or too cold food as this might cause sensitivity.
How long your crown lasts depends on how well you look after it. Properly cared for crowns should last between 5 to 15 years or even longer. All you need to do is maintain your oral hygiene. Keep your gums and teeth healthy by brushing with a fluoride toothpaste twice a day and flossing daily. Also see your dentist regularly for checkups and professional cleanings.
We give you local anesthesia before placing a crown, therefore, you will not feel any pain. Once its effect is gone, you might feel slight sensitivity in the gums.
You will need to have at least two visits. At the first visit, we will prepare the tooth, take the impressions, make a note of the shade of your teeth, and fit the temporary crown. At the second visit, we will fit the permanent crown. There will be about 1 to 2 weeks between appointments.
The crown will be made to match your other teeth as closely as possible. The color of the surrounding teeth will be recorded, to make sure that the color matches those teeth.
Because the shape of the crown will be slightly different from the shape of your tooth before it was crowned, you may feel it different initially. Within a few days it should feel fine, and you will not notice it.
Costs will vary according to the type of crown and the material used. At Shri Adinath Clinic we provide the best materials which par excellence and are easily accessible.
